Day-By-Day

Days 1–3 — Victoria Falls (Livingstone)

Arrive and settle in beside the Zambezi. Enjoy a guided tour of the Falls, sunset cruises, helicopter flights, or relaxed downtime to recover from travel.
Overnights: Zambezi-side lodge

Days 3–7 — South Luangwa

Fly to South Luangwa for four nights in the birthplace of the walking safari. Track lions and leopards, explore on foot with top guides, and consider a sleep-out or mobile-style night for added adventure.
Overnights: Chinzombo, Mchenja, or Tafika

Days 7–11 — Lower Zambezi

Continue to the Lower Zambezi. Mix canoeing, boating, catch-and-release tiger fishing, walking safaris, and game drives along one of Africa’s most scenic riverscapes.
Overnights: Chiawa, Sausage Tree, or Chongwe

Days 11–14 — Kafue National Park

Fly to Kafue, focusing on Busanga Plains or central Kafue depending on season. Expect sweeping open landscapes, low vehicle density, and classic big-game viewing in one of Africa’s most underrated parks.
Overnights: Musekese, Busanga Bush Camp, or Shumba

Days 14–18 — Liuwa Plain

Fly west to Liuwa Plain for four nights at King Lewanika. Time your visit around the wildebeest movement (typically Nov–Dec with shoulder months also productive). Explore vast, empty plains, hyena clans, rare predators, and exceptional photographic opportunities.
Overnights: King Lewanika

Days 18–20 — Return to Lusaka & Depart

Fly back to Lusaka for onward connections. Add a buffer night if preferred. Itinerary can be structured as 16, 18, or 20 days depending on lodge choices and pacing.
