Day-by-Day Itinerary

Days 1–3 — Entebbe & Kibale / Crater Lakes (Chimpanzees & Highlands Scenery)

Arrive in Entebbe with a private transfer to your boutique lodge. The next morning, fly to the crater-lake highlands and settle into a hilltop property overlooking volcanic lakes. Spend your first full day tracking chimpanzees in Kibale Forest, followed by relaxed crater-lake walks, village visits, or birding in the surrounding hills.
Overnights: Hotel No. 5 (Entebbe); Ndali Lodge or Kyaninga Lodge (Kibale)

Days 3–6 — Queen Elizabeth NP & Ishasha (Savannas, Channels & Tree-Climbing Lions)

Drive south into Queen Elizabeth National Park for classic savanna landscapes and the rich waterways of the Kazinga Channel. Enjoy game drives across the Kasenyi Plains, a scenic boat safari among hippos and elephants, and optional forest walks in the dramatic Kyambura Gorge. Continue into the remote Ishasha sector—famous for its tree-climbing lions.

Days 6–10 — Bwindi / Mgahinga Highlands (Gorilla Treks, Golden Monkeys & Culture)

Continue into the misty highlands of Bwindi or Mgahinga, home to Uganda’s mountain gorillas. Enjoy your first gorilla trek—an intimate and emotional wildlife encounter—followed by a second day for either a second trek, golden monkey trekking, or the immersive Gorilla Habituation Experience. Spend an additional day with cultural encounters, Batwa community visits, forest walks, or scenic ridge hikes.

Days 10–11 — Fly to Entebbe & Depart

Return by scenic flight to Entebbe for your onward journey. Add an extra night in Entebbe if desired for connections.
